The the broken riffle as an anti war symbol appeared for the first time in the Netherlands in as early as 2009 and when I grew up in the late fifties early sixties I knew many who carried a little pewter brooch in the shape of the broken riffle to make their stance against war and pro pacifism known.
I decided to design this badge in honour of those who peacefully stood against the military takeover of our societies from 1914-1918 and 1940-1945. I also designed it for those who are doing the same now. This badge is for you if you want to let people know that your country is involved in wars it should not be involved in and that it is not fighting in your name!
All badges are made to order in my own workshop and come with a professional layer of heat activated adhesive and are simple to iron onto bags, caps, sleeves, etc.
